This database is an integrated catalogue of asteroid polarimetric observations combining measurements from several sources. A significant part of the dataset is based on the Asteroid Polarimetric Database (APD), developed within the NASA Planetary Data System Small Bodies Node and compiled by D. F. Lupishko and collaborators.
The latest public APD update dates to 2022. Within the present project, these data were integrated with additional polarimetric measurements published in the scientific literature in subsequent years (2022–2026), as well as with newly obtained observations.
A key feature of the database is the inclusion of new polarimetric observations of near-Earth asteroids obtained at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory and the Terskol Peak Observatory. These measurements were obtained using specialised instruments described in the Instruments section.
In the observation catalogue, the measurements obtained within these observing programmes are highlighted in yellow. The full list of publications and data sources used in compiling the database is given on the Data Sources page.
The database is intended for researchers studying the physical properties of asteroids, phase-polarization relations, and the interpretation of polarimetric observations of small Solar System bodies.
